Mon Tana

I spent the first 22 years of my life in Montana… Here are a few pictures I feel capture some of the flavor of that area.

First, let’s start with where I grew up, in Jens. We lived in a trailer house which is long since gone from the site. Here’s the bridge over the Clark Fork river we had to cross every day to get to our house:

This bridge is slated to be torn down and replaced with a modern concrete bridge some time in the next few years (2001). A closeup of the plaque on the bridge:

That’s difficult to read, but it gives the date of construction as 1910.
