I'm currently employed by an investment company in New York City, which keeps me extremely busy.

But as always, you can drop me a line (spam filtered) if you have something interesting for a Linux sysadmin/developer.

I graduated from The University of Montana in 1996 with a BSCS (and a minor in English Literature). After a number of years working in and around Silicon Valley, I moved to New York City for my current Linux System Administrator position on Wall Street. Some of the places I've worked include:

I have a lot of experience designing and installing Linux-based networks and working with Unix systems in general. Plus, I've done a substantial amount of work in test scripting and build automation.

Incidentally, I wrote a minor freeware Linux kernel development aid call2sym. I've also contributed to free software projects like a2ps, mutt, and SCO skunkware.

Linux has been running on my desktop systems since version .99.1.

Communication skills are important. Here's a WhitePaper I wrote a couple of years ago.

Or, take a look at some articles I've written for various publications.
